Kraft Foods is recalling 148,500 packages of Jell-O chocolate pudding that may contain unlisted pistachio nuts.

People who are allergic or severely sensitive to pistachios risk serious or life-threatening reactions if they eat the nuts.

No illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported.

Kraft said the mislabeled packages were distributed nationwide.

The recall includes 1.4-ounce packages of Jell-O brand sugar-free, fat-free, reduced-calorie instant pudding and pie filling in three flavors:

  • White chocolate, with "best when used by" codes 05 MAR 07 D8 and 06 MAR 07 D8.
  • Chocolate, with "best when used by" code 06 MAR 07 D8.
  • Chocolate fudge, with "best when used by" code 07 MAR 07 D8.

No other Jell-O products are part of the recall, and there is no health risk for consumers who are not allergic to pistachio nuts.

Consumers can return the pudding to where it was purchased for a full refund.

Consumers can call Kraft at (800) 323-4243 or visit the company's Web site for more recall information.
