Lightning Reportedly Hit Tree Near Tent

BOSTON TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Summit County officials said nine Boy Scouts are in stable condition this morning after being struck by lightning, NewsChannel5 reported.
The Boy Scout troop was camping in Boston Township at Camp Manitoc when severe weather struck.
SLIDESHOW: Stark Severe Weather Witnesses said a lightning bolt hit a tree near the boys' tent."Lightning struck a nearby tree, sending the voltage to the ground, which hit the boys and tossing them," said Summit County Sheriff's Mike Sanchez. "There appears to be minor injuries, minor burns to their extremities."All the boys who are younger than 14 years old are in stable condition at the Akron Children's Hospital.
